Mara is available for an individualized experience that is conducted within the setting of any regular yoga class at Yoga Flex. Mara will skillfully guide you through each and every posture with the customized use of blocks, straps and hands-on adjustments.

These sessions are useful for the beginning yogi, the advanced yogi or those in teacher training eager to learn more about hands-on adjustment techniques. Your individual needs and requests will be happily accommodated.

Immerse yourself in an investigation of yoga alignment and the subtle art of assisting, and deepen your study of yoga. During this workshop, you will learn the purpose of assisting as well as the basic principles of assists, (including levels of touch and placement) that will help you to more skillfully guide students through their asana practice. There will be practical, hands-on experience. Please come ready to do asanas as well as assist.

This workshop, developed by Dena Graziano (RYT-200) and Mara Healy (E-RYT 200), is ideal for teachers, aspiring teachers, and yoga students who wish to gain a more in-depth knowledge of alignment and deepen their personal practice.

Please join them on Saturday August 2 from 2:30-5:30 to learn what makes a great adjustment. Cost is $25.

Students taking this course will be awarded a 4-hour certificate, and will be given the opportunity to assist in the classes held at YogaFlex.

My goal is to find the source of dysfunction or pain by identifying specific areas of tightness, weakness and/or established movement patterns that may contribute to discomfort and correcting those areas for more long term relief and improved well being. Practicing with more awareness of your own body’s tendencies will improve your healing and enhance your practice of yoga. This approach evolved out of the teachings transmitted by T Krishnamacharya and T.K.V. Desikachar of Madras, India

90 minutes session to include assessment and asana prescription: $125.00

Follow up sessions of 60-75 minutes: $90.00

Chrys Kub received her Master’s of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California in 1987. She has been in practice for the past 20 years, specializing in neurodevelopmental therapy, pediatrics, neurology, and most recently yoga therapy. Chrys is a Senior Trainer with YogaFit Teacher Training Systems, Worldwide and is Founder and Author of the YogaFit Yoga Therapy Training Program
